Shang Li

Since joining Kroll (formerly known as Duff & Phelps) in 2014, Shang has worked extensively on client engagements relating to business enterprise valuation, intellectual property valuation, PPA for business combinations and portfolio valuations for the firm’s private equity clients. Shang has over 10 years of experience working on domestic and cross-border valuations relating to debt and equity financing, M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, financial reporting (under IFRS, Singapore FRS etc.), SGX related compliance and tax purposes (Section 19B of the Singapore Income Tax Act).

Shang has worked across diverse sectors including heavy industries, education services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, software and IT consulting, consumer and retail, F&B franchises, fintech and microfinance etc.

Shang has also worked on a variety of intellectual property (IP) and intangible valuations throughout his tenure at the firm, including the valuation of trademarks, patents, software technology, IPR&D assets, copyright etc.

Prior to joining Kroll, Shang worked as Associate at Asian Corporate Advisors, a boutique corporate finance firm, where he was responsible for Catalist sponsor duties and Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) engagements for Catalist and Mainboard listed clients on the Singapore Exchange. During his time at Asian Corporate Advisors, he has been involved in client engagements relating to mergers & acquisitions, privatization, whitewash waiver and fund-raising activities.

Shang is a registered Chartered Valuer & Appraiser (CVA) with IVAS. Shang holds a Bachelor of Science in international securities, investments and banking from the University of Reading, United Kingdom. He also received his Master of Professional Accounting from Singapore Management University.
