Sashank Gopalswami

Sashank advises on a broad range of IFRS and UK GAAP topics, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, consolidation assessments, acquisitions accounting, cost capitalization and accounting policy development. He has supported numerous high-profile transactions globally, working across sectors and geographies to deliver clear, commercially grounded technical analysis.

His transaction-related experience includes providing technical accounting input on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, determining what forms part of an acquisition, resolving complex Day 1 accounting issues under IFRS 3, preparing opening balance sheets with illustrative journals and disclosures, conducting CGU assessments and aligning group accounting policies. Sashank is also skilled in drafting technical accounting papers and communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining Kroll, Sashank worked at KPMG in Accounting Advisory Services practice, based in London. In that role, he advised clients on IFRS application across transactions and technical accounting projects.

Sashank is a Chartered Accountant (ACA, India), holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and the ACCA Diploma in IFRS (DipIFR).
