AT A GLANCE

Rob Armstrong is a Managing Director in the Restructuring practice, based in London. He leverages more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with investigations, asset recovery and enforcement.

Prior to joining Kroll, Rob was an appointment-taking director at RSM, on the Special Investigations team. In this role, Rob dealt with a portfolio of cases that involved either asset tracing, high-net-worth individuals or complex insolvency litigation.

Rob specializes in insolvency litigation, providing solutions to creditors and other stakeholders to recover assets both in the UK and globally. He leads complex insolvency appointments, including provisional liquidations, high-profile bankruptcies, receiverships, corporate and personal fraud investigations, and pursuing directors for misfeasance.

Previous insolvency appointments include:

  • Trustee in bankruptcy to a previously high net worth individual with creditors more than £800 million. The estate included ongoing litigation in three separate jurisdictions, with a combined value more than £1 billion.
  • Administrator of Arena Television, the UK’s largest ever ABL fraud. Recoveries have been enhanced by enforcing against assets identified outside of the jurisdiction, bringing claims against the directors of the Company and professional negligence claims against multiple parties. 
  • Trustee in bankruptcy to an steel magnate based in India. The case involved investigating assets held in trusts and offshore corporate entities not originally disclosed. 

Rob received a Bachelor’s degree with honors in management studies, specializing in finance, from the University of Leicester. He received a Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and is a qualified Insolvency Practitioner with the Joint Insolvency Exam Board (JIEB).
