Over the years, Ricole has led many high-profile transactions for multinational corporations, listed entities, family conglomerates, state-owned enterprises as well as for private equity firms across Asia, UK and Europe, Australia and New Zealand and in the U.S. She has taken board directorships and assumed management roles, worked closely with boards and management teams, sponsors and investors, bank lenders and bondholders, credit and distressed funds, as well as sovereign-wealth funds. Ricole has also been extensively involved in advising sustainable financing structures as part of refinancing requirements.
Ricole’s expertise spans across various industry sectors, ranging from Energy, Mining, Industrial Goods, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, as well as Real Estate.
Prior to joining Kroll, Ricole was Partner in the Transformation practice at Boston Consulting Group in Singapore, where she led the Special Situations sub-practice for Asia Pacific, focusing on turnarounds and operational restructuring. Before this, Ricole was Senior Managing Director with the Corporate Finance and Restructuring practice and Head of Indonesia for FTI Consulting and was an Executive Director at The Royal Bank of Scotland managing its respective distressed / non-performing loan portfolios in Asia Pacific Before this, she was a director at Alvarez & Marsal in HK, New York and London.
Her notable engagements include:
- Led a US$ 4.0 Bn debt restructure for one of the largest mining companies in Asia involving US Chapter 11 and UK Scheme of Arrangement regimes, followed by a 3-year turnaround and transformation
- Led a US$ 2.5 Bn debt restructure for a retail company with >300 stores footprint involving a complete business model revamp and court restructuring proceedings
- Acted as the Interim CFO for a global logistic business for PE owners to manage the US$500 Mn restructure with banks whilst improving financial performance eventually leading to strategic sale at a higher valuation
- Advised senior lenders of listed crystal manufacturing & retail company in Europe with global operations in taking control of business and assumed directorship role to lead through operations streamlining, cost rationalization and business carve-outs to improve profitability
- Supported a 4-year turnaround with 15% yoy EBITDA uplift with US$ 100 Mn cash release for a large state-owned agriculture company following a US$3 Bn debt restructure
- Advised major shareholders on a US$ 3.0 Bn debt restructure of a large listed EPC & OFSE company, involving business carve-outs, strategic change on remaining businesses, and M&A advice
Ricole’s expertise has been widely recognised by the industry through the many speaking engagement and panel discussions that she has been invited to participate, including the INSOL Conference in Hong Kong (2025) and Japan (2024) as well as various TMA technical seminars and Debtwire conference in Hong Kong (2023).
Ricole holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as well as a member of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants.
