Mio Yamada

Prior to joining Kroll, Mio served as Director of Japan Client Services at Eurasia Group, where she managed relationships with leading Japanese corporations across the financial services, automotive, technology, energy and trading sectors. She also held several leadership roles in supporting global artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, overseeing international teams responsible for content quality, training and performance management for large-scale AI programs.

Mio also held a Senior Account Manager role at Edelman Japan, where she advised multinational clients on strategic communications, reputation management and ESG-related initiatives. She spent several years with NHK Japan Broadcasting Corporation in Washington D.C., covering the State Department and U.S.-Japan relations. She also coordinated logistics and production for major political and international news events, including U.S. presidential elections, presidential inaugurations and U.S.-Japan summits.

Mio has led numerous complex client engagements, supported business growth initiatives and organized global analyst teams to deliver political and geopolitical risk insights tailored to client needs. She has extensive experience managing cross-cultural teams across the U.S., Japan and India and delivering complex projects in fast-paced, multinational environments.

Mio holds a Master of International Business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Integration Studies, French Language and Literature from University College Cork, National University of Ireland. She is fluent in English and Japanese.
