Mfundo Marivha

Mfundo is a Chartered Accountant and seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience across financial services, including corporate finance, private equity, external audit, asset management and strategic advisory. At Kroll, she will partner closely with the restructuring and cross-border teams to support clients across Sub-Saharan Africa, leading high-impact valuation and financial advisory engagements.

Prior to joining Kroll, Mfundo was Partner in the Valuation and Modeling Team at Deloitte, where she led the delivery of complex mandates including independent corporate valuations, portfolio valuations, purchase price allocations (PPA) under IFRS 3 and impairment testing engagements supporting strategic transactions. She also played a key role in advising audit teams on technical valuation matters.

Mfundo’s career reflects a unique blend of front-end investment acumen and back-office governance expertise, positioning her as a trusted advisor to boards, investment committees and other stakeholders. Her core areas of expertise include business valuations, investment advisory and financial strategy execution. With a strong interest in alternative asset classes and a focus on stakeholder value, Mfundo brings a nuanced understanding of investor engagement and builds strategic client relationships.

Passionate about giving back, she is deeply committed to mentorship, industry development and professional transformation. She has served on the boards of investee companies and actively supported South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) initiatives, including contributions to insurance working groups. She is also a board member of the African Children's Feeding Scheme (ACFS), a non-profit organization delivering multidimensional programs for underprivileged children.

Mfundo holds a Bachelor of Commerce in financial accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in accounting from the University of Cape Town.
