Matt leverages more than 20 years of experience using technology to solve legal and compliance challenges. His experience spans a variety of domains across legal operations, litigation technology, information governance, data privacy, cyber security, investigations and compliance to deliver cyber litigation support services and help Kroll clients to win cases and mitigate losses.
Matt has provided technical and strategic guidance to businesses across diverse sectors, including life sciences, manufacturing, automotive and financial services. His wide-ranging experience covers issues such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, intellectual property, marketing practices, employee misconduct, cyber breaches and pricing disputes. He has worked with numerous clients to implement and optimize their use of legal technology, including eDiscovery and information governance technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Relativity and Exterro.
Matt has contributed to multiple meet and confer conferences on data identification, preservation and processing and production formats. He is highly experienced in cross-border electronic discovery case management and ESI identification and has assisted in the development and implementation of evidence management methodologies. This extensive cross-border case experience includes Japan, Germany, Greece, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania.
Matt was a contributing researcher to three articles published in Fraud Magazine on the fraud triangle, detecting fraud through email and the future of fraud in a blockchain world. He has led the development of thought leadership at speaking events and in white papers on issues such as large-scale eDiscovery, the Global Data Privacy Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, the adoption of in-place discovery tools (such as M365 compliance center), legal technology and innovation, diversity and inclusion in legal, and blockchain considerations in investigations.
Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, information and operations management from Texas A&M University. He has also received the following certifications: EnCase Certified Examiner, Relativity Certified Administrator certification, Certified eDiscovery Specialist and multiple Reveal certifications, including Artificial Intelligence and Certified Information Privacy Manager.
