Lionel Genoud

Prior to joining Kroll, Lionel served as a Policy Analyst at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Bern and Brussels. He also worked as a Researcher at several Middle East–focused institutes and gained private-sector experience as a Business Development Associate at a global internet startup.

At Kroll, Lionel advises clients in the Swiss financial industry on compliance-driven due diligence solutions, including complex multijurisdictional investigations and annual remediation projects. He also oversees a team of analysts specializing in Europe and the Middle East.

Lionel holds a B.Sc. in economics from the University of Bern and an M.A. in international relations from Bogazici University. He also has a MPhil in modern middle eastern studies from the University of Oxford and is a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS). Lionel is fluent in French, German and Turkish.
