Jorge Perez Olea

Jorge has extensive experience in financial valuation for energy projects, particularly for the upstream sector in oil and gas. In addition, Jorge’s areas of expertise include corporate finance, contractual agreements, due diligence and damage estimation analysis.

Jorge’s valuation experience also includes assisting a broad range of international clients in determining values for financial reporting, business strategy planning, transaction advisory support and M&A purposes. Jorge has worked on numerous assignments, valuing different assets for key players in the energy sector, performing financial due diligence as part of the M&A transactional processes and conducting estimation of damages related to legal disputes and arbitrations.

Before joining Kroll, Jorge worked for different entities of the Mexican Government, leading different teams to implement new energetic models in the country, particularly for the oil and gas and power sectors. He has also acted as a private consultant and financial manager for the banking and retail sector.

Jorge has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Mexican Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM) and a master’s degree in the same field of development. He has participated in research work, including monetary policy, econometric and labor market analysis.
