Jon Melzer

Jon has successfully completed more than 150 M&A, distressed M&A, restructuring and financing transactions. He has worked with the following industries: consumer, industrial, aerospace/defense, healthcare, media, telecom/technology, business services, building products and financial services. Some of the companies Jon has worked with include Chicken of the Sea, Advanced Cast Products, ESCO Arresting Systems, Source One Healthcare Technologies, Maxwell Publishing, Flag Telecom, SimuFlite, Berger Holdings and GE Capital Corporation of Puerto Rico.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jon was co-head of M&A at Houlihan Lokey, head of Consumer and Industrial Products at PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities, head of M&A at Rodman & Renshaw, Inc. and co-head of Corporate Sales and Divestitures at The First Boston Corporation.

Jon received his MS in accounting and finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his BA in economics, with distinction, from Stanford University. He is also a certified public accountant licensed in New York State. Jon is a board member of the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jon is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered representative and holds the series 7, 24 and 63 securities industry registrations.
