Glen Kernick

Glen joined Kroll with the merger of Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting practice and Kroll in 2005. Before the merger, he handled valuation and financial advisory engagements for over eight years, starting as an associate in the Price Waterhouse, LLP Valuation Services practice. He later became a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Subsequent to PwC, he was a managing director at Standard & Poor’s.

In his current and previous roles, Glen has performed valuations and financial analyses for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, tax, transaction advisory, litigation and strategic planning. His career has been focused on technology companies (business valuation) and their underlying intellectual property and intangible assets. He has served various clients from private, early-stage companies to S&P 500 public companies in the biotechnology, computer hardware, data storage, internet/e-commerce, fintech, networking equipment, semiconductor, enterprise software and telecommunications industries.

Glen has led numerous noteworthy technology industry engagements, which include multi-billion dollar private company stock valuations, goodwill impairment analyses, purchase price allocations, and intellectual property valuations. Additionally, Glen has served as an expert for litigation cases with experience in both reports and testimony. Earlier in his career, Glen worked in technology licensing at a leading university and technology lending at a commercial bank.

Glen’s professional valuation related activities include speaking at conferences, contributing to publications, and guest lecturing. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers. He also holds the Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations credential covering fair value measurements for businesses and intangible assets for financial reporting purposes. Glen earned an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
