Christopher Matteson

As General Counsel, Chris provides the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors with advice on company strategies and their implementation, manages the global legal, risk, compliance, privacy and information security functions in support of Kroll’s business objectives. He is also responsible for managing risks in our client work and in the company’s day-to-day operations.
Previously, Chris held the title of Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel of Kroll and oversaw the legal function globally, leading a team of 25 lawyers. Prior to joining Kroll in 2007, Chris held in-house counsel roles at Solvay, The BISYS Group, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard, and worked as Associate at the law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. He also served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy.
Chris holds a B.A. from Union College and a J.D. from The College of William and Mary.
