Chris Coley is a Managing Director in the Restructuring practice, based in London.

He has more than 20 years of UK and international restructuring experience, advising companies, boards and capital providers through periods of financial and operational challenge.

Chris specializes in turnaround and restructuring, with a particular focus on liquidity and balance sheet challenges, interim management and CRO services. His experience includes cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, independent business reviews, liability management, restructuring planning and implementation, and stakeholder management and negotiation.

He has advised both companies and capital providers across a broad range of sectors, including defence, industrial manufacturing, utilities, retail, business and financial services, and across the UK and internationally, including Europe, Africa, the US and Asia Pacific.

Prior to rejoining Kroll, Chris was Partner and UK Leader of the Turnaround & Restructuring practice at KPMG, where he re-established and grew the firm’s UK turnaround and restructuring offering, spanning financial restructuring, operational turnaround and working capital advisory. He also served on KPMG’s EMEA and Global Turnaround & Restructuring leadership teams, helping shape the firm’s wider restructuring strategy.

Chris has previously held senior restructuring roles at Kroll and FTI Consulting, working in London and Singapore, and began his career with Ernst & Young. His approach is hands-on and collaborative, focused on preserving and enhancing value, establishing clear priorities and delivering practical, executable solutions.

Chris holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration from Cardiff University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute for Turnaround.
