Cesare Gussago

Cesare leverages more than 20 years of international commercial, operational and P&L leadership experience. He specializes in helping blue-chip corporate boards, mid- to large-cap private equity firms and global infrastructure funds improve EBITDA through data-led, digitally enabled value creation. Cesare bridges the gap between highly complex, data-intensive business models and commercial decision-making, for organizations with high transaction volumes, extensive asset footprints or large workforces.

Prior to joining Kroll, Cesare worked as an independent adviser to leading global sponsors. His experience includes serving as Managing Director in the Corporate Transformation practice at Alvarez & Marsal, and as an equity partner at EY-Parthenon, where he built a PE value creation practice. Cesare was also Partner and Head of Strategy and M&A at PA Consulting, leading a team of more than 60 professionals across multiple countries. Earlier in his career, he held corporate leadership roles as Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Brambles (CHEP)—managing a portfolio worth more than $3 billion and led the turnaround of the company’s Oil and Gas Logistics division. He developed his strategy expertise at Bain & Company and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Cesare’s expertise spans the entire deal and post-acquisition lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on rapid turnarounds, network optimization and full potential plans across asset-heavy sectors such as energy, infrastructure, logistics and industrial services. His notable track record includes delivering a retail transformation program across six countries for an international oil company and turning around an offshore logistics provider to achieve a £30million EBITDA improvement within 12 months.

Cesare holds a master’s degree with honours in mechanical engineering from the University of Brescia in Italy and an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Italy and the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
