Prior to joining Kroll, he worked in the construction sector, with responsibilities across tendering, project supervision and procurement and importation of major equipment, providing practical real-sector business experience.
His experience spans the sectors of oil and gas, mining and mining services, agriculture, manufacturing, retail and distribution, financial services, hospitality and real estate. Calvin has served as Independent Financial Advisor on a number of cases including a PRC state-owned enterprise on its exit from an Indonesian motorcycle manufacturing joint venture, for a syndicate of lenders in the court-supervised restructuring of a major textile manufacturer with debt exceeding $1.5 billion and for a listed mobile phone and voucher distribution company on the restructuring of approximately $500 million of indebtedness. He has also led the receivership and lender-driven operational control of producing Indonesian gas fields under BVI law, culminating in a structured and competitive sale and near-full debt recovery with deal size of around $150 million. Furthermore, he has served as Engagement Lead on buy-side due diligence for the acquisition of an electronic transaction services platform in Indonesia and on the valuation and disposal of palm plantation assets. He has also served as Realization Agent to an international bank for the disposal of AYDA property assets (~$50 million).
Calvin holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Pensacola Christian College, Florida.
He is fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin, and conversant in Cantonese.
