NATO Research Workshop, “Integrated Approach to Cyber Defense: Human in the Loop”

Alan Brill, Senior Managing Director served as keynote speaker at the NATO Research Workshop, “Integrated Approach to Cyber Defense: Human in the Loop.”

Sponsored by the NATO Science & Technology Organization, the conference, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, was designed to consider the role of human oversight on technologies like artificial intelligence. Alan’s talk focused on the relationship between machine intelligence and the law, and the need to develop ways to encode law into rule sets to help an AI system avoid violating applicable laws and regulations.
