Reshmi Khurana Featured on The Straits Times

The Straits Times recently covered an online chat group set up to help drivers and passengers list carpooling requests that allowed passengers to book trips via “middlemen” at prices lower than the ones listed via Gojek, a ride-hailing company. Gojek suspects these are scams. This article, “From Marsiling to Changi for $9: With 'fraudulent' Gojek bookings, riders travel on the cheap” explores the ways in which fraudulent activities could have occurred, including credit card fraud.

“Fraudulent credit card transactions are usually quickly reported by card holders and addressed by credit card companies. This means that a small number of transactions can only be carried out by fraudsters before the card is blocked,” said Reshmi Khurana, Managing Director at Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps.
