Mathew Dunn Quoted in Law360 on Upcoming NY SHIELD Act

The Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security (SHIELD) Act will usher in a new era of privacy in the state of New York, one where organizations are to be held accountable and conscientious about protecting customer personal information.

Matthew Dunn, Associate Managing Director in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, was quoted in Law360 highlighting the increasing role of the state in protecting residents against data breaches, and how the SHIELD Act will likely  drive companies to be more responsible in their treatment of data and more willful to identify the gaps and vulnerabilities in their networks to reduce and mitigate threats.
