Jason Smolanoff Speaks with FOX News About Making Remote Work Safe

What can you do to ensure your data is secure when working from home? Duff & Phelps Institute Fellow Jason Smolanoff shares his tips with Fox News.

As more Americans continue to work remotely because of COVID-19, it’s critical for them to know how to make their home offices secure. They will need safeguards in place to protect their data from cybercriminals, cyberattacks and viruses.

Jason said the first line of defense for many home users is a firewall. Make sure you enable or configure your router and modem firewall. And change default administrator usernames and passwords on routers/modems, and any connected devices like a video doorbell, he added.
