New York, NY – Kroll, the leading provider of data, technology and insights related to risk, governance and growth, today announced that John Bennett, managing director in the firm’s Cyber Risk practice, has been appointed as a Kroll Institute Fellow. The Kroll Institute is dedicated to delivering insights, conducting research and leading interactive forums to help business leaders stay ahead of and manage the multidimensional challenges facing their organizations today.
In his capacity as an Institute Fellow, Bennett will participate in thought leadership and client engagement opportunities surrounding cybersecurity and public safety, making connections on how these topics intersect with larger themes such as the economy, geopolitical risk and public policy, among others. Simultaneously, Bennett will continue advising Kroll’s leadership team and clients on pressing issues surrounding global security, privacy, risk management and cyber incident response.
“Organizations are trying to come to grips with escalating rate of new and constantly evolving cyber threats. Since joining Kroll, John has seamlessly utilized his invaluable FBI experience to help Kroll’s clients navigate complex cybersecurity issues. We are thrilled to have him bring those same insights to the Institute’s top-tier thought leadership initiatives,” said Jill Weise, Chief Impact Officer at Kroll.
Prior to joining Kroll, Bennett was the Assistant Director in Charge leading the FBI Los Angeles Field Division, the third largest FBI field division, with a staff of 1,500 and 120 management personnel. In this role, he coordinated a 40-agency intelligence coalition and facilitated one of the largest law enforcement partnerships with the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff offices. Additionally, he provided investigative support to all legal attaché offices in Southeast Asia and the Oceania region.
“I am honored to join the Kroll Institute’s high-caliber roster of Fellows. In today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape, cybersecurity has never been more important and I look forward to sharing my insights along with the work of our Cyber Risk team,” Bennett commented.
