Kroll Names Hiroki Katayama Head of Japan, Business Intelligence and Investigations

Naoko Murasaki Transitions to Senior Advisor Role

Tokyo – Kroll, a division of Duff and Phelps and global leader in risk mitigation, investigations, compliance, cyber resilience, security and incident response solutions, announces that Associate Managing Director Hiroki Katayama has been named Head of Japan for the firm’s Business Intelligence and Investigations Practice, based in Tokyo. Naoko Murasaki will continue working with Kroll in an advisory capacity.

Katayama is a highly experienced risk management professional with a strong background in conducting complex compliance-related engagements in Japan and coordinating the delivery of such engagements globally for Japan-based clients. His areas of expertise include financial due diligence, corporate governance, business due diligence for merger and acquisition deals, and reviews of internal controls and remediation. Katayama began his professional career at Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank (now Mizuho Bank), where he was involved with M&A deals, regulatory and compliance-related initiatives; he subsequently focused on risk management, valuation, due diligence and compliance matters at an international risk consultancy and one of the Big Four accounting firms.
