Duff & Phelps Henk Oosterhout, Managing Director and Netherlands Country Leader, has been appointed to the International Valuation Standards Council’s (IVSC) Business Valuation Standards Board.
The IVSC is an independent, not-for-profit organization that develops technical and ethical valuation standards that valuation professionals globally can adhere to.
Joining the IVSC Business Valuation Standards Board is a competitive and rigorous process. The world’s top experts are invited to oversee the development of international standards for business valuation.
Speaking on his appointment, Henk said, “I’m looking forward to contributing towards the strengthening of a valuation profession based on sound theoretical foundations. The business valuation profession is definitely maturing across Europe and throughout the world. With robust standards in place, the subjective character of a valuation should not create impediments to transparency.”
