Ian Manson, Managing Director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting practice at Duff & Phelps, was featured in an article in Funds Europe, where he gives his insight on the shortcomings in the current regulatory reporting of capital and how can they be improved.
As Ian explains: “The regime has evolved in layers over time and across national boundaries, which has resulted in a patchwork of rules applying to different firms, where the burden of reporting is sometimes more closely aligned with the political compromise of the day than the systemic risk of the activity.”
