New York – The Duff & Phelps Charitable Foundation was established in 2018 to nurture innovate ideas, impact economic and social issues, and enable progress in underserved communities around the globe. In the 2019 global grant cycle, Duff & Phelps employees voted on nearly 80 charity partners to make an impact in their local communities. Since its inception in 2018, the foundation has donated almost USD $1 million to charities all over the world at the guidance of colleagues. In the most recent grant cycle, donations of nearly USD $500,000 supported causes like the environment, education, health, women’s empowerment and community integration.

Colleagues nominated 39 charity partners in the Americas region, 31 in EMEA and 7 in APAC, and the Duff & Phelps Charitable Foundation granted over $178,000 to partners who support and integrate communities, over $140,000 towards financial literacy and education causes, $40,000 for environmental and conservation efforts and $30,000 to women’s empowerment. Diversity and inclusion was the top-rated cause in the Americas region, with the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity working with veterans, taking the number one voted partner position. In second place of Americas colleague votes was the Environmental Defense Fund. In EMEA, the Duff & Phelps Charitable Foundation partnered with City Pay it Forward to distribute a comprehensive year 6 curriculum to almost 700,000 children across 21,000 schools in the UK. In Ireland, a $15,000 grant to intuitional partner Basis.Point went towards a numeracy program to serve underserved schools and communities in Dublin, assisting children aged 8-14years. Colleagues in Singapore cycled 42 kilometers to raise awareness and funds for Aidha, which helps low income female workers achieve economic independence through entrepreneurship. In 2019, over 900 colleagues gave over 2,100 hours of volunteering time to local community initiatives across the globe.
