Kroll and Mullen Coughlin Discuss the Real Threat of Cyberattacks Against Architectural Firms

Over the years, Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps and Mullen Coughlin have witnessed a change in cyber risk. As business workflow and assets have gone digital, the statistics surrounding cyberattacks have become overwhelming. Cyber criminals have grown more sophisticated, deliberate and efficient, and any organization who believes they’re safe without the necessary securities in place are only tempting fate. 

In a joint paper for AIA Trust, Kroll’s Devon Ackerman, Managing Director in the Cyber Risk practice and Head of Incident Response North America, teamed up with Mullen Coughlin’s founding partner, Jennifer Coughlin, to highlight the inescapable fact that cyber risk is a problem for every professional services firm, including architectural firms. Conducting basic tasks, from sending an email to submitting an invoice or sharing designs, opens individuals and organizations to various cyber risks. They also focus on and share best practices for creating a defensible cyber security strategy that will offer organizations a framework for a safer, more cyber resilient organization.
