Duff & Phelps Institute Fellow Chris Campbell recently discussed the impact of the Hong Kong crisis on the markets in an interview with Yahoo Finance. Chris said Duff & Phelps' clients are concerned on many fronts about the crisis in Hong Kong. He said China is fighting a two-front war. One is about its domestic challenges and the other concerns economic challenges and headwinds, with the country being denied access to certain markets.
Additionally, Chris said a democracy movement in Hong Kong could present a real challenge within the region and have a much broader impact depending on how quickly the Chinese government responds to the prevailing situation.
