The last decade has witnessed a significant rise of active shooter incidents in the United States. Progressive companies like Allied World, a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions, realized the possibility of an incident is no longer a question of if, but when.
Acting on this, Allied World invited experts Dan Linskey, Managing Director and John Friedlander, Senior Manager in the Security Risk Management practice of Kroll, a division of Duff and Phelps, to host a webinar training for Allied World clients on the best practices to incorporate when faced with or encountering such incidents. During the webinar training, Dan and John shared that in most workplaces the threat often lies within the organization and highlighted steps that need to be employed to prevent or minimize the internal risk. Their presentation highlighted the benefit to employee morale and a shared sense of safety when organizations take steps to ensure their personnel are in a secure environment.
