Duff & Phelps’ sponsored LPGA golfer Cristie Kerr recently won the Kingsmill Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia. In addition to delivering a strong performance, Cristie – and the Duff & Phelps logo, featured the front of her hat – received significant broadcast and online coverage.
As announced earlier this year, Duff & Phelps expanded its sponsorship of Cristie to include a team of three junior golfers on the LPGA tour. Cristie works closely with “Team Duff & Phelps” to provide mentorship and promote good citizenship as part of her Birdies for Breast Cancer foundation. Through this sponsorship, Duff & Phelps makes a charitable contribution to the foundation for every birdie that Cristie and ”Team Duff & Phelps” makes in competition. With 17 birdies made in pursuit of her Kingsmill win, Duff & Phelps will make a $1,700 donation to the foundation.
The firm’s sponsorship of the golfers and support of Birdies for Breast Cancer complements the mission of Duff & Phelps’ Network of Women (NOW), which aims to attract, develop and promote women at the firm while also championing broader causes of interest to women.
