Scott Hanson is a Director with the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, a divison of Duff & Phelps based in the Secaucus office. Scott has nearly a decade of experience in enterprise information technology, with significant expertise across a range of technical strategies and tools, including Carbon Black Enterprise Response and the suite of Splunk solutions. His primary focus at Kroll is helping clients enhance or restore network security with services that range from threat monitoring to incident response and forensic investigations.
Previously, Scott was with ExxonMobil Global Services Company from 2008-2016, during which time he took on roles of increasing responsibility for information systems in various operational settings. As a Cyber Security Analyst, Scott investigated security threats and intrusions using a variety of established and cutting-edge methodologies. He also designed and delivered internal training modules for new security team members. Scott joined ExxonMobil as a Senior Information Systems Analyst. His achievements included leading a complex project to deploy a global telecommunications system in the firm’s collaboration centers located around the world. This involved international travel to Nigeria, England, Germany, Australia, and Indonesia. Scott also conducted risk assessments to establish appropriate security controls for the networked audio-visual devices.
