Construction Disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean Region

Now in its fifth year, Paris Arbitration Week brings the international arbitration community together for a week of academic debate and professional exchange, both virtually and in the beautiful city of Paris.

As an official partner of Paris Arbitration Week 2021, Kroll is scheduled to present three topics on the events calendar, wrapping up on Friday 24 September with a virtual webinar brought to you by Louk Korovesis and Valia Dousiou from Kroll’s expert services team, Valentine Chessa from Castaldi Partners and Alexander Marcopoulos from Shearman & Sterling LLP.

Construction projects are restarting the southern economies, whilst COVID-19 has significantly impacted a number of ongoing projects. Is there a recipe for success or are we setting ourselves up for failure? The panel will discuss cultural differences between the Eastern Mediterranean and the Central/Northern European regions, review past cases where the local practices either saved or ruined the day and discuss what may lie ahead for the future, as construction activity begins to boost the economy in the south once again.
