Kroll Featured in Los Angeles Times Discussing Pandemic Impact on Law Enforcement Personnel
Staffing shortages for emergency responders such as police officers and firefighters are becoming overwhelming as first responders are required to quarantine after exposure to coronavirus patients while on the job. Masks, gloves and other protective equipment are in short supply worldwide, causing increased risk of exposure for emergency personnel.
Daniel Linskey, Managing Director in the Security Risk Management practice of Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, was featured in the Los Angeles Times commenting on how police and fire agencies need to plan for worst-case scenarios. He states, “What happens if 14 people in the jail come down with the virus? Where do we quarantine 300 prisoners or do we do it on site?” Daniel continues to discuss how the public can start taking precautions such as pulling drivers over for more serious violations and letting others off with a verbal warning.
