Matt Hinds


Matt has eleven years experience specialising in operational and financial restructuring in complex multi-national environments for companies in crisis, and in managing fundamental change programmes for more stable clients, primarily focusing on supporting the board in planning and delivery.


Major Experiences

Matt joined Talbot Hughes McKillop in March 2004 as a Director, having previously worked for Andersen Business Consulting. Matt moved across following Kroll’s acquisition of Talbot Hughes McKillop in January 2005 and is now a Partner at Kroll Talbot Hughes.

Matt’s experience includes operational and financial assessments, hands on crisis management and stabilisation, business change, support for restructurings, and the management of complex multi project operational programmes.

Matt has worked in the UK and Europe and his sector expertise includes consumer products, telecommunications, hospitality and leisure and is also a member of CIMA.


Major Recent Projects

  • Adviser to a UK based leisure group on its £100m restructuring.
  • Adviser to UK based manufacturing & automotive businesses on crisis and cash management.
  • Adviser to the board of Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts on its £2.1 billion restructuring, including a 12 month role as deputy CFO and programme manager of the operational turnaround.
  • Programme manager responsible for the co-ordinated wind down of Andersen Worldwide, the £1 billion central management body of the Andersen network of firms.
  • Programme manager for a fundamental business transformation in the financial services sector.
  • Implementation manager within telecommunications sector, one year role as project manager within a programme to redefine the Finance function.
  • Business review and implementation consulting to clients in the consumer products, telecommunications and professional services sectors.
