Professional Experience

  • Fraud Detection. John participated in the investigation of the largest not-for-profit bankruptcy in U.S. history, a collapse marked by fraudulent financial reporting and improper revenue recognition. The complex case included managing over 200 depositions.

  • Internal Investigations. One of John’s internal investigations, at a health care organization, revealed a web of employee misconduct ranging from price collusion with vendors to falsifying expense accounts. Ultimately, 10 employees were terminated.

  • Lost Profits Calculation. For what stands as one of the largest judgments in franchise litigation history, John calculated the lost profits for a group of franchisees whose franchiser improperly diverted advertising funds for its own use.
