Jason Paroff is the director of Computer Forensics Operations with the Electronic Evidence Services group of Kroll. In addition to his management role, Jason has examined numerous computers and computer systems for evidence of fraud, theft of trade secrets, harassment and other improper civil and criminal conduct.

Jason has testified in Federal district court numerous times as an expert witness in the field of computer forensics and has been a conference panel member and presenter, as well as a guest lecturer at Columbia University's School of Business. He also teaches computer forensics to Fortune 500 corporations and has taught computer forensics to members of foreign police and intelligence agencies.

Prior to joining Kroll, Jason worked as a senior prosecutor in the Rockland County District Attorney’s office in New York, where he investigated and prosecuted white-collar and computer crime, as well as civil asset forfeiture cases.


Professional Experience

  • Computer Forensics. Jason has actively led or participated in various seizures and subsequent searches of many computers containing hidden or inadequately erased evidence.

  • Asset Searches. While in the District Attorney's office, Jason headed the asset forfeiture section.
  • Fraud Investigations. While in the District Attorney's office, Jason supervised major criminal and civil investigations involving insurance, bank, consumer, credit card and other frauds.
