Michael Mackewich is a Director in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, based in Atlanta. Michael has over 30 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance and financial services industries and has served over 60 national and global insurance and reinsurance companies.
Michael has substantial business experience in claims, underwriting, actuarial and accounting disciplines. He has served as an insurance and reinsurance broker as well as in complex projects related to legal matter management, e-billing, ediscovery, business process services, cyber operations and NGIPS (next generation cyber intrusion prevention systems), payment fraud and AML software solutions, big data, robotics, IoT, advanced analytics, telematics, UBI (usage-based insurance), cloud, apps, disaster recovery, storage, litigation support and forensic IT. He has served many Fortune 500 companies supporting mission critical solutions in manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, government services, defense and energy.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Michael was recognized as an exclusive Platinum Award winner with a $25 billion global technology firm. His projects included streamlined electronic discovery program and forensic investigations for one of the world’s three largest insurance companies; electronic data delivery and automation for a top-five U.S. bank; big data infrastructure development for a telematics/UBI program for the largest U.S. automobile insurance company; project development for advanced CRM with IBM Watson; and development of next generation global infrastructure hardware and software for two of the world’s largest insurance and reinsurance companies.
