At Kroll, Brandon has handled a variety of assignments including large due diligence matters, asset searches, hostile takeovers and corporate intelligence cases. In 2012, he led an international anti-counterfeiting investigation that resulted in the closure of an illegal counterfeiting operation. He had also investigated a large-scale matter on behalf of the investors of a public company that identified significant undisclosed transactions between the company and a related third party. Additionally, Brandon is a founding member of Kroll’s technology and innovation group, which beta tests and rolls out new investigative and data analytics tools.

Before joining Kroll in 2005, he worked on the business desk of The Seattle Times. In his previous roles, he has reported for the San Francisco Chronicle, Salon.com and The New York Times in London, Jordan and Iraq. His story in Salon.com about children dying of treatable diseases in Baghdad hospitals due to the breakdown of the medical delivery supply chain following the Iraq war won the Al-Falah Published Paper award at the University of California, Berkeley. He has also worked for the San Francisco Examiner and the Tri-City Herald as a production editor and designer, respectively.

Brandon holds an M.A. in journalism and an M.A. in international studies from the University of California, Berkeley. He also received a B.A. in classical archeology and languages from San Francisco State University.
