Alan Brill, with more than 25 years at the center of cyber investigations and cutting-edge cyber security, often working in high-profile projects, will discuss how attacks occur — whether this be the theft of money, misappropriation of intellectual property— the objectives of hackers and some of the lessons that Kroll’s incident prevention and response specialists have learned. One of these lessons is that a lot of the incidents are preventable. Mr. Brill will discuss some specific ways of mitigating cyber-risk that are not necessarily difficult or expensive.
